Keynote Conversation: Eric Schrier, FX Networks

Eric Schrier joined FX in 2000 as an assistant to then President of Entertainment Kevin Reilly, and has been on the fast track ever since. Since being named President of Original Programming in June 2013, Schrier has developed the Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning anthology limited series Fargo and American Horror Story, the drama series The StrainTyrant and The Bastard Executioner, and the comedy series You’re the WorstMarried, Man Seeking Woman and Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. Most recently, he developed the limited series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and the comedy series Baskets, and is developing the upcoming drama series Taboo, comedy series Atlanta and Better Things, and limited series Trust and Feud.

Prior to that, Schrier served as Executive Vice President, FX Productions, and Head of Series Development, during which he developed the critically-acclaimed drama series The Americans and The Bridge. In June 2008 he was named Senior Vice President, Series Development, FX Networks, and Executive Vice President, FX Productions, and was instrumental in developing the Emmy® winning Justified, the drama series Sons of Anarchy and Terriers, as well as overseeing FX’s growth in comedy with the Emmy® winning Louie, and the comedies Archer and The League.

In a keynote conversation at Scripted, Schrier will talk about creativity, risk-taking and connecting with consumers with breakthrough shows in today's "peak TV" landscape.
