Being Human: Today’s Comedic Voices
Friday, November 18, 2016
3:15 PM - 4:00 PM
Grand Ballroom
The comedic point of view is at the forefront of many of the most innovative comedies that we are watching today. Where did all these comedic voices come from? How were they supported and their voices nurtured, and what does it say about exploring the human experience in 2016? Will we get another big tent - a la Big Bang - comedy again? And are today's comedic voices not interested in the big tent, or is the big tent not interested in them? Here, we’ll look at the correlation between creative freedom and having less production dollars at risk, and finding the right home for your voice versus maximizing your paycheck.
