Ron West is a founder and principal in Beverly Hills-based management and production company, Thruline Entertainment. Thruline manages some of Hollywood’s most prominent actors and writers and has produced more than 150 hours of television and several feature films. Thruline acting clients include: Academy Award-winner Allison Janney; Michael Cera; Emmy Award-winner Sarah Silverman; Academy Award nominee John Hawkes; Emmy Award nominee Giancarlo Esposito, and; two-time Golden Globe nominee Blair Underwood. Literary clients include: Academy Award nominee Annie Mumolo (Bridesmaids); Emmy Award-winner Kirk Ellis (John Adams); six-time Emmy Award-winner Barry Julien (The Late Show with Steven Colbert); director Zak Hilditch (1922); BAFTA nominee Danny Brocklehurst (Exile); the Miller Brothers (White Boy Rick, and; Noah Pink (Genius). Thruline also represents Chicago- and Toronto-based comedy empire The Second City. The company currently has multiple projects in various stages of production, including a second season of I Love You, America for Hulu and Roast Battle for Comedy Central. Thruline produced the hit dramedy, Psych, which ran for eight seasons on USA and recently spawned a reunion two-hour movie. The company recently signed a two-year first-look deal with A+E Studios and has a number of projects in development with A+E already. Thruline also has projects currently in active development at Showtime, Hulu, Fox, Facebook, FreeForm, Sony, ITV, MRC and UCP.

When Mr. West was named Vice President, Head of Television Talent at International Creative Management (ICM) in January 2000, he was the agency’s youngest-ever department head. He joined the company in January of 1994 as a trainee in the mailroom before working as an assistant to agents Bill Block and Brian Mann. In October 2002 Mr. West left ICM to form Thruline with Chris Henze (former president of Pure Arts) and J.B. Roberts (founding partner of Rigberg, Roberts, Rugalo). Longtime talent manager Willie Mercer joined the firm as a partner in 2006. As an agent Mr. West was named to the Hollywood Reporter’s annual Next Generation list of 35 executives under 35 years old. He was also profiled in Electronic Media’s “Hot List.” He represented ICM on the joint Association of Talent Agents/Casting Society of America (ATA/CSA) Cooperative Committee. He is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS), the Producers Guild of America (PGA) and the Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS). A graduate of Brandeis University, Mr. West grew up on Long Island, NY.
