Big Breakfast

Luke Kelly-Clyne is head of development at production studio Big Breakfast, an Electus company that creates and produces premium comedic content for broadcast, cable and digital/OTT platforms. In his role, Kelly-Clyne oversees the company’s robust slate of scripted and unscripted programming, serving as creator, showrunner and executive producer on many Big Breakfast projects, while also forging strategic partnerships with industry-leading talent, writers and producers.

Recent Big Breakfast hits include truTV’s Adam Ruins Everything and animated companion series Adam Ruins Everything Reanimates History, Pop’s Hot Date – on which Kelly-Clyne has served as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Will Arnett – and Facebook Watch’s breakout game show I Want My Phone Back, which has garnered more than 60 million views to date. Freeform also recently announced Big Breakfast’s upcoming dark comedy Pippa Smith: Grown-Up Detective, on which Joss Whedon serves as an executive producer. The company has additional projects in development for networks and platforms including Disney Channel, Freeform, Facebook, IFC, Comedy Central, tru TV, Fuse and IMDB, among others.

As the studio that made CollegeHumor Originals the #1 most-viewed comedy YouTube channel, Big Breakfast’s online content is some of the most-watched and shared on the Internet, garnering 20 Webby Awards, 12 Telly Awards and more than five billion views. Operating under the Electus banner, Big Breakfast also maintains exclusive access to talent and leverages ad-integration opportunities with leading brands.

Kelly-Clyne joined Big Breakfast after a three-year tenure at CollegeHumor where, as a writer, director and producer in the branded and original content spaces, he created videos that have cumulatively grossed more than 100 million views online. During this time, Kelly-Clyne also helped reconstruct the company’s approach to branded content, founding CollegeHumor’s “native content” division and partnering with top talent – Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Peter Sarsgaard, etc. – to create and launch successful digital campaigns and viral videos for brands such as Coca-Cola, Mentos, Ruffles, Activision, Klondike and more.

Kelly-Clyne was also previously head writer for ABC’s Nightline – at age 24.
