Rose Catherine Pinkney is a versatile television executive, who has been both a buyer and a seller, having worked for networks, studios and production companies. She has developed content in the scripted arena (comedy, drama, movies and miniseries), as well as the unscripted arena (reality, comedy, variety, talk, and game shows, docu-series, documentaries and specials). She is a graduate of Princeton University and received her MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management. Pinkney is currently a head consultant at BET, where she serves as the interim head of scripted programming. In this role, she is charged with developing new scripted content, including series and movies for the network, as well as overseeing several current productions. Prior to BET, Pinkney held a variety of jobs across the industry. She started her executive career on the studio side, where she worked in development and current programming for Twentieth Century Fox Television and later spent a decade at Paramount Network Television, where she rose to head the comedy development department. On the network side, she recently worked as a development executive at TVLand, consulted at ABC in current programming and earlier learned the unscripted business when she served as head of programming for TVOne. She has run the television division of two production companies, Uptown Entertainment and Cinema Gypsy Productions. Beyond all this, she expanded her scope of experience even more by selling and producing a feature film and a television movie.
